KABUL: Iran has not yet agreed to hold a new round of talks with the United States, according to a report by the state-affiliated Tasnim News Agency.
The report, published Saturday, comes amid Western media claims that the next round of talks between Iranian and U.S. delegations is imminent.
Tasnim said Tehran has set key conditions for continuing negotiations, emphasizing that Washington must avoid what Iran describes as “excessive demands” in the process.
According to the outlet, this position has been conveyed to U.S. officials through Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Axios reported late Friday, citing informed sources, that a new round of talks could take place on Sunday in Islamabad.
