KABUL: Donald Trump, President of the United States, says Iran is currently preparing a proposal in response to Washington’s demands.
In remarks to Reuters, Trump said he does not yet know the details of Tehran’s offer but stressed that any potential agreement must include abandoning enriched uranium and ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Asked how long the naval blockade on Iran would continue, Trump said the timeline remains unclear and depends on what Iran proposes.
The comments come as a new round of talks between Washington and Tehran is expected to take place in Islamabad in the coming days.
According to reports, the talks will also involve changes in the composition of the U.S. negotiating team, with the White House confirming adjustments ahead of the upcoming discussions.
