KABUL: The U.S. Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, said that Washington’s naval blockade against Iran will take on a “global form,” adding that Tehran was given the opportunity to reach a “good deal” with the United States.
Reuters, citing Hegseth, reported that if Iran does not take advantage of this opportunity, there is a possibility that pressure could intensify.
The news agency also quoted three Pakistani sources, saying that talks between Iran and the U.S. on peace may resume soon in Pakistan.
Based on the information, efforts are underway by Islamabad to pave the ground for dialogue between the two countries, in order to reduce the ongoing tensions and create a path toward stability in the region.
So far, Tehran and Washington have not officially commented on the potential resumption of such talks.
