KABUL: Mullah Abdullah Haji Bashir, Director General of the Afghanistan Standards and Quality Authority, has held discussions with several members of the Carpet Sellers’ Union on issues related to the sector.
The authority said on X that the meeting focused on the activities of carpet traders and their proposals.
According to the ASQA, after hearing the traders’ concerns and recommendations, Haji Bashir emphasized the importance of complying with domestic standards in the production, supply and trade of carpets.
He said the authority, within the scope of its responsibilities, will continue working to address issues facing domestic traders and investors and to create suitable conditions for standards-compliant and legal business activities.
