KABUL: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
According to reports, the two leaders discussed global developments, growing uncertainties in the international arena, and a range of regional and international issues.
Xi Jinping said that despite increasing uncertainties and unpredictable factors in the international system, China-Russia relations have a bright future and their foundations will continue to strengthen.
Putin also emphasized the continuation and expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders further stressed the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation across various fields.
