KABUL: Zhao Xing, China’s ambassador to Kabul, held a farewell meeting with Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, stressing the need to further expand friendly relations between Afghanistan and China.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Muttaqi described relations between the two countries as historical and positive and thanked Zhao for his efforts during his tenure.
Muttaqi also wished the Chinese ambassador success in his future assignment.
Zhao, for his part, described Afghanistan-China relations as friendly and thanked the Foreign Ministry for its cooperation during his tenure.
He expressed hope that relations between the two countries would continue to expand in various areas.
