KABUL: Qatar’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Dr. Mirdif Al-Qashouti, met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, in Kabul on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and efforts to strengthen Afghanistan’s engagement with the international community.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides exchanged views on expanding bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Qatar and Qatar’s role in facilitating and strengthening the Islamic Emirate’s ties with the international community.
Muttaqi described the Islamic Emirate’s relations with the international community as expanding and expressed appreciation for Qatar’s efforts in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Qatari ambassador reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continuing these efforts, describing the progress achieved so far as encouraging.
