KABUL: The Ministry of National Defense said in a statement today that the personnel 217th Omari Army Corps have rescued a number of stranded individuals in the floods in Baghlan province.
According to the statement, a number of Baghlan residents including women and children have been stranded in floods in Jarkhash area, and saved by the personnel of the 217 Omari Army Corps.
Meanwhile, officials of the 217th Omari Army Corps instructed their units to expedite assistance to the flood-affected individuals with available facilities.
Also, the Islamic Emirate, in a message instructed the Ministries of Interior Affairs, Disaster Management and local officials to spare no efforts in providing assistance to the flood-affected people.
