Kyrgyzstan seeks to increase exports and imports with Afghanistan

KABUL: Kyrgyzstan asks for increasing export and import between this country and Afghanistan, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The minister of Economy and Commerce of the Republic of Kyrgyz Amangeldiev Daniyar Dzholdoshevich made the remarks in a meeting with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, said the ministry’s statement.

Minister Daniyar said: “Currently there are good opportunities in trade, transportation, transit, energy, agriculture, and higher education sectors between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.” the statement quoted.

According to the statement, The Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan further added that he has brought a group of businessmen from his country to discuss investment opportunities with the government and the private sector of Afghanistan.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, discussed the recent developments in Afghanistan and said that good investment opportunities paved in the country.

After the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan regained control, the interest of regional countries, especially Afghanistan’s neighbouring countries, has increased for trade and investment in the country.
