KABUL: The Afghanistan U19 National Cricket Team was defeated on Friday (January 26) by Nepal after Pakistan and New Zealand and their journey ended in World Cup.
The Afghan U19 has been ruled out of the current U19 World Cup in South Africa after losing the third consecutive match.
In Friday’s match, the Afghan team scored 145 runs after losing all the players, but Nepal achieved the target in 44 overs with the loss of nine players and won the match.
On the other hand, cricket fans and commentators have been expressing their concerns about the consecutive losses of the Afghan team and are blaming the cricket board and the selection committee, holding them responsible for the team’s poor performance in the games.
