KABUL: Snow skiing competitions were launched for the second time this year in Bamyan province, with the participation of numerous athletes.
In a ceremony held on this occasion was participated by the Governor of Bamyan, the head of the Ski department, and dozens of athletes.
In the competitions, 65 athletes from Maidan Wardak and Bamyan provinces have competed to qualify for the country’s national skiing team.
Last week, skiing competitions were held in Bamyan with the participation of 180 athletes.
Bamyan, located in the central region of the country, hosts ski competitions throughout the year due to its abundance of snow-covered slopes and hills.
