Eleven Iranian security forces killed in armed attackers’ clashes

KABUL: At least 11 Iranian security forces were killed, after a group of armed attackers launched an attack this morning [Thursday, April 04] on one of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps centers in Chabahar, Iran, media reported.

Iranian media have identified the attackers as affiliated with the Jaish al-Adl group and added that two of the attackers have been killed and the rest are besieged by Iranian security forces.

Among the deaths are two Iranian border security guards and seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

It is said that the attackers intended to infiltrate one of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps bases.

So far, Jaish al-Adl has not made any statements regarding the incident.

Jaish al-Adl is one of the Iranian anti-government armed groups that occasionally carry out attacks against the border forces of that country.
