KABUL: The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) said that it will facilitate access to clean drinking water for more than 22,000 people in the flood-affected areas.
The United Nations agency said in a message on Monday that many water supply networks have been destroyed due to recent floods in Afghanistan.
Families in flood-affected areas need water for drinking, cooking and bathing, and 15 liters of water will be distributed to each person per day, said UNICEF.
The recent devastating floods have caused financial and human losses to hundreds of people in different provincesof the country.
This organization has previously said that thousands of people affected by floods do not have access to clean water.
