KABUL: Mawlavi Mohammad Nabi Bahar, spokesman for Afghanistan’s General Directorate of State-Owned Companies, says Ariana Afghan Airlines ranked seventh among 45 airlines in Central Asia in the 2026 rankings, placing it among the region’s top 10 carriers.
Bahar said Ariana ranked eighth last year and moved up one place to seventh this year.
He attributed the improvement to better service quality, flight safety, and the performance of the airline’s professional cabin crew.
Bahar said the ranking was conducted by Skytrax, an international organization that evaluates and rates airline services.
