Over 2,500 foreign tourists visited Afghanistan in the past one month, NSIA

KABUL: The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) says it has recorded the entry of 2,595 foreign tourists to Afghanistan in the past one month, NSIA said in a statement today.

According to the National Statistics Authority, foreign tourists entered Afghanistan through airports and land border crossings.

The highest number of tourist entries were recorded at the Hairatan, Nimroz, Torkham and Balkh airports, said NSIA, adding that some of the tourists traveled to Afghanistan for tourism purposes, while others came for business purposes.

It should be noted that after the Islamic Emirate takeover of the country and ensured nationwide security, the number of foreign tourists visiting Afghanistan has increased.
