Kandahar customs personnel prevented smuggling of 5000 kg of goods

KABUL: The Ministry of Finance has said that the officials of Kandahar’s customs prevented the smuggling of 5,000 kilograms of goods.

According to the statement, the goods were placed skillfully in an imported commercial shipment, which contained retail goods discovered and seized by the customs officials.

According to the statement, 1,855 kilograms of chocolate, 8,555 kilograms of tomatoes, 473 kilograms of oil, 420 kilograms of sweets, 220 cartons of Shesha flavor, and 10 cartons of protein have been discovered and seized.

The mobile surveillance staff of the General Department of Customs seized many contraband items in different areas of Nangarhar, Nimroz, Kandahar, and Herat provinces last week, said the statement.
