IEA condemns Israeli officials’ statements on building synagogue at Al-Aqsa Mosque

KABUL: The deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mawlavi Hamdullah Fitrat, in a statement on Tuesday night, strongly condemned the statements made by Israeli officials regarding the construction of a synagogue at A l-Aqsa Mosque.

According to the statement, Al-Aqsa Mosque and all parts of Palestine belong to the Palestinians, and the Islamic Emirate recognizes Al-Aqsa Mosque as the first qibla of Muslims.

Such remarks from Israeli officials clearly show that the regime does not respect sacred sites, laws, or international principles, said the statement.

The Islamic Emirate added that these usurpatory statements from Israeli officials have hurt the feelings of Muslims worldwide.

The statement calls on countries and international organizations to prevent the attacks and genocide perpetrated by the Israeli regime in Gaza.

The Israeli officials have recently spoken about their intention to build a synagogue inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is recognized as the first qibla of Muslims.
