Three development projects worth 24 mln AFG kicked off in Ghazni

GHAZNI: Construction work on three development projects worth 24 million Afghanis (some 341,631 US dollars) have been kicked off in Ghazni province, governor’s press office said in a statement on Sunday night.

According to the statement, the projects include the construction of a 400-meter-long and 6-meter-wide road from Itefaq Mina to Qalati village, a 246-meter retaining wall with a width of 4 meters, and the construction of 400 meters of drainage systems and will be funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

During the inauguration of the projects, Ghazni mayor said that his-led department plans to implement additional projects in collaboration with this UN agency in the province.

Implementation of development projects with the financial support of Emirati institutions and relevant United Nations organizations continues in the country.
