KABUL: The Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for Art and Culture Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, met with the head of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Fazil Akin Erdogan, the ministry said in a statement.
In the meeting, the head of TIKA said: “Based on the common cultural commonality and long friendship between the people of Turkey and Afghanistan, they will expand their cooperation in the field of restoring Afghanistan’s historical sites and equipping the national archive, art gallery and public libraries.”
He assured that according to his development and cultural programs, he will soon begin work for the reconstruction of Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi’s father’s seminary and monastery after surveying.
The deputy Minister of Art and Culture also praised the effective activities of this institution and said that Turkey has always helped Afghanistan in development and cultural activities.
