KABUL: The Deputy Refugees and Repatriations Minister Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Rashid, accompanied by the head of legal services at the ministry, welcomed 300 Afghan returnees who were deported from Turkey at Kabul Airport, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, the Deputy Minister addressed the returnees, stating that the Islamic Emirate warmly welcomes them and other Afghan citizens with open arms, utilizing available resources.
The ministry is working towards creating employment opportunities for returnees, he said, adding that the ministry will be in contact with the Turkish government to address the issues faced by the returnees.
The Islamic Emirate has established a high commission to address the challenges faced by migrants, with the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs on the chair.
