Three libraries rebuilt and equipped in Nuristan

PAROON: The Director of Information and Culture of Nuristan, Mawlavi Sami-ul-Haq Haqbayan, said that three libraries, worth 8 million Afghanis, have been reconstructed and equipped at the outskirts of Nuristan province.

According to him, as a result of the efforts of the General Directorate of Libraries of the Ministry of Information and Culture, in collaboration with the Shanti Volunteer Community, the libraries were renovated and equipped in Paroon the center of Nuristan, and the districts of Kanjawa and Wama

Haqbayan expressed gratitude to the Shanti Volunteer Community for their help in preparing and revitalizing the libraries.

“The Islamic Emirate is committed to supporting the initiatives that aim to enhance reading and improve cultural values,” Haqbayan said.

Nuristan is one of the remote and mountainous provinces in the east of the country, where the activity of libraries is considered vital for the promotion of a reading culture.
