KABUL: The provincial officials of the Economy Department of Baghlan said that 377 companies are operational in the province, specifically in the production, construction, and logistics sectors.
The head of Baghlan’s economy stated that among the companies, there are 13 related to agricultural seeds, 18 for flour production, 2 for water production, 3 for non-alcoholic beverages, 14 for ice production, 2 for oil production, 2 for plastic manufacturing, 2 for dairy products, 3 for salt production, 4 for handicrafts, and 295 others engaged in construction, transportation, and logistics.
Thousands of people are employed in the companies.
Moreover, residents of Baghlan have indicated that strengthening the private sector could help reduce the unemployment rate.
