KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has announced that the foundation stone of a township for returning Afghan refugees has been laid in the Khwaja Kaftar area of the Chahar Dara district of Kunduz province.
According to the statement, a ceremony held on this occasion was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanifi, Shaikh Hamdullah Nohmani, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, provincial officials, mujahidin and residents.
In the ceremony Mawlavi Hanafi, spoke about the sustainability of the Islamic system and called the initiation of this housing complex significant and impactful.
Shaikh Hamdullah Nohmani, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, mentioned that according to the detailed plan, the complex will consist of 3,850 residential units equipped with all essential amenities.
It is worth noting that during the ceremony, several housing plots were distributed to a number of returning Afghan refugees.
