KABUL: The acting Minister of Interior Affairs Khalifa Serajuddin Haqqani, met with Zamir Kabulov, the Russian Special Representative for Afghanistan, and that country’s ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov to discuss bolstering bilateral trade, economic and security cooperation.
According to a statement from the ministry on Wednesday, Haqqani expressed appreciation for Russia’s recent move regarding the removal of the IEA from Russia’s list of banned groups, considering it an important step towards accepting Afghanistan’s political realities.
Also, the both sides committed to enhancing bilateral relations to a diplomatic level and increasing cooperation in the areas of security and trade.
