KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that Major General Mullah Abdul Haq Akhund Hamkar, Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics, left the country for Qatar at the head of a delegation, at the official invitation of that country.
The delegation is expected to meet with Qatari officials in Doha to discuss joint efforts in drug control.
Combating drug trafficking remains a priority for the security, defense, and intelligence agencies of the Islamic Emirate.
Previously, a delegation led by Mullah Abdul Haq Akhund also visited Iran to discuss joint efforts in drug control.
