Uzbekistan donates more than 20 tons of improved grain and vegetable seeds to Afghanistan

KABUL: A delegation of the Uzbekistan has handed over agricultural aid to the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock at the Hairatan port in Balkh.
According to Mawlavi Misbahuddin Mustaeen, head of the ministry’s cereals department, the aid included 20 tons of corn seeds, 5 tons of cotton seeds, and 1.3 tons of vegetable seeds.
He stated that Uzbekistan will also provide Afghanistan with agricultural tools and machinery in the near future.
The aim of the cooperation is to enhance Afghanistan’s agricultural capacity and facilitate access to improved seeds and modern equipment for farmers.
