Kabulov: Islamic Emirate introduced new ambassador to Afghanistan’s embassy in Moscow
KABUL: Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, recently announced that the Islamic Emirate has appointed its designated ambassador to the Afghan embassy in Moscow.
He made the remarks today during an interview with Russian media, on the sidelines of the 16th International Forum of Russia and the Islamic World in Kazan, but he did not disclose the identity of the newly appointed ambassador.
However, he emphasized that the Russian Foreign Ministry has begun its review regarding the appointed individual.
This marks the first diplomatic advancement in relations between Kabul and Moscow since the Islamic Emirate was removed from Russia’s list of banned groups.
