KABUL: Mawlavi Atallah Omari, Afghanistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, met with his Russian counterpart in Moscow, where they discussed the implementation of joint projects and the development of technical cooperation across various agricultural sectors.
According to the ministry’s statement, the Afghan delegation emphasized the strengthening of irrigation systems, the enhancement of technical staff capacity, and the increase of agricultural product exports to Russian markets.
On the other hand, the Russian Agriculture Minister acknowledged the positive role of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture in managing the agriculture and livestock sectors and announced readiness to enhance practical and sustainable cooperation with Afghanistan.
The meeting also addressed the need to strengthen agricultural ties between the two countries, expand joint programs, and maintain professional coordination.
