KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement on Tuesday, that 286 individuals have recently been released from different prisons in Pakistan and returend to the country.
The individuals had been arrested in various parts of Pakistan and held in detention for periods ranging from one to two days, the statement said, adding that after release, they entered the country via the Spin Boldak port in Kandahar.
“Despite having legal migration documents, the individuals were arrested by the Pakistani police and held for one to two days in jail,” the statement said.
After registration and receiving assistance the returning refugees have been transferred to their respective areas.
