Traffic accidents claimed lives of 4, injured 6 in Balkh and Samangan

MAZAR-E-SHARIF- AIBAK: According to the police commands of Balkh and Samangan provinces on Saturday, four people have died and six others have been injured due to two traffic accidents in in the outskirts of the provinces.

The first accident occurred when a tanker truck collided with a Saracha-type vehicle on the Balkh-Samangan highway. The second accident involved a Fourtuner-type vehicle veering off the road and overturning in the “Gula” area of the Dara-e-Suf district in Samangan.

According to the statements, one person was killed and four others were injured in the first accident, while three people died and two others were wounded in the second incident.

Police from both provinces cited excessive speed and driver negligence as the causes of these accidents.

Efforts to prevent or reduce traffic incidents in the country are ongoing.
