KABUL: An art exhibition titled “Colorful Commotion” has been organized by a non-governmental organization (Arbabzada Gallery) in collaboration with the provincial Information and Culture Department of Herat.
The exhibition opened today in the presence of local officials, cultural figures, and writers at the Alama Salahuddin Saljuqi hall, where over 200 paintings in various modern styles put on display.
Abdul Karim Arbabzada, the organizer, stated that among the displayed works, 25 pieces are by male artists and 180 are by female artists. He noted that 120 paintings are created on silk fabric, while the remaining works are done on glass, stone, and pottery.
The exhibition will remain open for visitors and art enthusiasts for four more days.
Herat has previously hosted various art exhibitions showcasing painting and calligraphy in different styles.
