New head coach appointed for Afghanistan National Football Team

KABUL: The National Football Federation said in a statement on Tuesday that Vincenzo Alberto Anze, has been appointed as the new head coach of the country’s national football team.
According to the statement, the federation highlighted that Mr. Anze, 40, is an Italian citizen with coaching experience at the national teams of Belize and Thailand.
According to the federation, the new head coach has also managed club teams in Indonesia, Palestine, Ghana, Lithuania, Kosovo, Belarus, and India.
The new coach will lead the national team in their upcoming match against Syria. The Afghanistan national football team is set to compete against Syria on June 10 of the current year, as part of the third qualifying round for the Asian Cup.
