Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi: Banning of poetry gatherings propaganda, untrue

KABUL: The Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for Art and Culture, Mawlvi Atiqullah Azizi, stated that the Islamic Emirate has no intention of banning poetry gatherings, instead, it has developed specific procedures for better organization.

He made the remarks during a traditional annual “Pomegranate Flower” festival, organized by the Provincial Information and Culture Department of Kandahar, attended by high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, IEA spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, deputy ministers of Information and Culture, recognized poets, singers, and thousands of enthusiasts.
