KABUL: Herat provincial officials said that asphalting 2.2-kilometer road worth 27 million Afghanis was launched in the center of the province.
Mohammad Nasir Armel, spokesperson for the Herat municipality, told media today that the road is part of the public road in northern Herat, extending from the Sarkarizak to Shaidayee Market in the fifteenth PD of the city.
Armel mentioned that the road will be asphalted from the development budget of the Herat municipality, within six months and will help alleviate some transportation infrastructure issues faced by residents in northern Herat and reduce traffic accidents.
