JALALABAD: The Nangarhar Police Command said in a statement on Sunday that a group of professional car thieves have been arrested in the province.
According to the statement, the gang had been stealing vehicles from various parts of and districts of Nangarhar, subsequently dismantling them and selling the parts.
The group was apprehended during police forces operations in the Bati Kot district and a Suzuki vehicle and parts from stolen cars have been recovered from them.
The case will be forwarded to the judicial authorities after necessary investigations.
This comes as Torkham and Jalalabad’s markets are known as significant hubs for various car parts in the eastern region of the country.
