KABUL: Mawlaci Ahmadullah Wasiq, the Director General of the National Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports, accompanied by the technical deputy, visited the training camp of the Afghan football team, Abu Muslim Farah.
Atal Meshwani, the spokesman for the directorate said on Wednesday evening that it is expected that 23 foreign players and 9 coaching staff members from the Abu Muslim Farah team will travel to Bhutan for the Challenge Cup Asia within the next five days (by August 5).
The tournament is set to take place on August 12, hosting 16 champion teams from various countries in Bhutan.
Afghanistan’s representative team will compete against the host team, Bhutan, on the first day of the tournament.
The training camp has seven foreign players and two coaches from Colombia, Brazil, Togo, Cameroon, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Argentina, and Mexico.
This training camp has been established for a duration of 20 days.
