Fire at Russian gunpowder factory: Casualties rise to 20 dead and 134 injured

KABUL: Russian officials have confirmed that the death toll from a fire at a gunpowder factory in the country has risen to 20, with 134 others injured.
The Anadolu Agency, citing the operations headquarters in the Ryazan region of Russia reported today that the fire, which broke out last week in the Shilovsky area of Ryazan, has resulted in 20 fatalities and 134 injuries by this morning.
The statement noted that 31 of the injured are hospitalized, while 103 others have returned home after receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that the explosion occurred in a village called “Lesnovy,” located 250 kilometers southeast of Moscow.
Currently, the regional investigative committee in Russia has opened a criminal case due to violations of mandatory safety regulations at the factory.
