Heroin production and processing factory destroyed in Badakhshan

FAIZABAD: The provincial security forces of Badakhshan have destroyed a heroin-producing and processing factory.
The Badakhshan Police Command’s press office said in a statement today, the factory was located in the Las Barlas, village of the Argo district and was destroyed during an operation led by Mullah Nooruddin Fateh, head of the Drug Control Management.
The operation was conducted in coordination with special forces from the Badakhshan Police Command.
According to the statement, during the search and inspection of the area, security forces seized 31 containers of processed opium, four bags of poppy flowers, and a substantial amount of equipment used for heroin production and processing.
There has been no information regarding the arrest of any individuals or groups connected to the establishment or ownership of the factory.
This comes as the fight against drugs remains a significant priority for security and defense forces throughout the country.
