KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affair’s Counter-Narcotics Directorate said in a statement today, that the discovery and destruction of 1,800 kilograms of opium in the provinces of Uruzgan and Farah.
According to the statement, 1,050 kilograms of opium in Uruzgan, and 750 kilograms in Farah have been discovered and destroyed.
The materials were discovered by police as part of the efforts against narcotics.
Various kinds of narcotics have been discovered and seized over the past three years.
It is noteworthy that since the Taliban’s return to power, a strict ban has been imposed on all drug-related activities across the country, and individuals arrested in connection with these activities have been referred to judicial authorities.
