Hamas responds to Trump’s proposal: Ready for comprehensive agreement on Gaza

KABUL: Following Donald Trump’s proposal for Hamas to release 20 Israeli prisoners in exchange for ending the war in Gaza within two weeks, the Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas has announced its readiness for a comprehensive agreement regarding the Gaza Strip.

Reuters reported late on Wednesday night, that the remarks came shortly after President Trump suggested that Hamas should release the 20 Israelis, implying that this would lead to a swift end to the conflict in Gaza.

According to the report, Hamas emphasized its willingness to reach a comprehensive agreement where Israeli prisoners would be freed in exchange for the release of a specific number of Palestinian prisoners.

However, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu viewed Hamas’s recent stance with skepticism.

In a statement, the office claimed that this was merely another publicity stunt by Hamas and that their position was unchanged.

Meanwhile, Israeli military operations aimed at the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip continue.
