KABUL: The international organization Save the Children, said in a statement on Sunday, that Israeli forces have killed, on average, one child every hour in the Gaza Strip.
The report indicates that from October 7, 2023, to September 6, 2025 (over 23 months), the number of children killed by Israeli forces in Gaza has exceeded 20,000. According to statistics from Gaza’s government officials, these children account for 2% of the total population of the strip.
The report also highlights that 1,009 of the deceased children were under one year old, with half of them being newborns.
The data shows that during the past 23 months, 42,011 Palestinian children residing in Gaza have been injured in Israeli attacks.
Additionally, the UN for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities states that 21,000 Palestinian children have become permanently disabled during this period.
Meanwhile, the remaining children in the Gaza Strip continue to face threats of famine and hunger, as well as ongoing attacks from Israeli forces.
