KABUL: Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, stated that discussions about a new definition of regional security would not be surprising following Israel’s attack on Qatar.
While speaking at an international conference in Italy, the Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized that as long as justice regarding Israel’s actions in Gaza is not achieved, Tel Aviv will continue to seize more land and will not abandon this goal, the Turkish state news agency (TRT) reported on Saturday night.
He added, “Acknowledging the realities in Gaza and exposing the crimes committed by Israel against humanity is the first step towards achieving justice.”
According to this senior Turkish diplomat, the initiation of discussions on redefining regional security following Israel’s attack on Qatar would not be surprising.
This comes as Israel’s recent airstrike on Qatar has sparked widespread reactions from countries in the region.
