KABUL: The Ministry of Information and Culture has praised the stance of citizens in response to retaliatory attacks against violations of Afghanistan’s airspace by Pakistan.
In a statement released today, the ministry expressed heartfelt gratitude to the “heroic Mujahideen, brave people, committed media, and writers” for their steadfast resolve and complete commitment to defending the Islamic system’s sanctity, territory, and independence during recent events.
The statement further emphasized that the media serves as a significant intellectual front for society, and their efforts toward freedom and national defense play a crucial and decisive role.
The Ministry of Information and Culture also urged all cultural and media institutions, writers, and activists to continue their intellectual and promotional responsibilities in safeguarding independence, national unity, and Islamic values.
In recent days, Afghan forces have launched attacks against Pakistani troops along the Durand Line in response to violations of Afghanistan’s airspace, resulting in the deaths of over 50 Pakistani soldiers and the seizure of a substantial amount of military equipment.
It is noteworthy that last night, Pakistani forces again attacked Afghan territory in the Spin Boldak area of Kandahar, to which Afghan forces responded with significant casualties inflicted on them.
