KABUL: As a result of a traffic accident in the Askar Kot area of Qarabagh District of Ghazni Province, four people were martyred and 16 others were wounded.
The accident occurred early today when a Hilux-type vehicle crashed a Mazda vehicle, said the Ghazni Police Command’s media office adding that four passengers in the Hilux lost their lives, while 16 individuals, including women and children, were injured in the Mazda vehicle.
Sources indicate that the injured passengers in the Mazda were refugees traveling from a neighboring country toward Kunduz Province.
Following the incident, highway patrols swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the injured and the deceased to the civilian hospital in Ghazni.
According to the police command, the initial cause of the accident has been attributed to the violation of traffic regulations.
