KABUL: The players of Afghanistan’s national futsal team have made history with an outstanding performance, remaining undefeated in the 2025 Asian Youth Championships and advancing to the final stage.
In their fourth match of the tournament, the national futsal team defeated Thailand on Tuesday night, with a score of 9-1, securing their place in the finals against Iran.
The U-17 futsal players went into halftime against Thailand with a commanding lead of 6-1 and added three more goals in the second half to solidify their victory.
In previous matches during the group stage, they also secured wins against China, Uzbekistan, and Bahrain, guaranteeing their advancement to the semifinals.
The impressive performance of the Afghan national futsal team has heightened hopes for a championship victory in the final stage of the Asian tournament.
The final match of the U-17 futsal championships is scheduled to take place tomorrow night (Thursday).
