KABUL: Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, said in a statement that a group of 14-member armed thieves was detained by police in Herat province.
According to the statement, the armed group was involved in robbing mobile phones, vehicles, homes, and shops in various parts of Herat city and was detained during the operation conducted by police forces.
The spokesperson emphasized that the citizens of Herat appreciate the timely actions of the police, viewing the presence of security forces as a source of reassurance and calm.
The statement noted that seven types of weapons, three motorcycles, and several sets of mobile phones have been seized from the arrested individuals.
