Afghanistan’s Minister of Higher Education discusses strengthening medical faculties with Iran’s Health Minister

KABUL: Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadeem, Afghanistan’s Minister of Higher Education, has met with Mohammad Reza Zafar Qandi, Iran’s Minister of Health, during a series of discussions with officials in that country.

Hafiz Ziaullah Hashemi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education, said in a statement today that the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the medical faculties of Afghan universities.

The statement noted that topics such as organizing scientific conferences, sharing the experiences of professors, and other relevant issues were part of the discussions between the Afghan Minister of Higher Education and the Iranian Health Minister.

According to the statement that during his visit to Iran, the Afghan Minister toured the laboratories and training facilities for students at the “Payam Noor” and “Shaheed Beheshti” universities, which are considered reputable academic institutions in Iran.

The Minister of Higher Education has been on an official visit to Iran for several days.
