Nearly 5,000 Afghan migrants forced to return home from Pakistan in one day

KABUL: The High Commission for Addressing Refugees Issues said in a statement today that 4,783 Afghan migrants were forcibly expelled from Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan in a single day.

According to the statement, 2,934 individuals returned through Torkham, 1,430 through Spin Boldak, and another 419 through Bahramcha, on Saturday.

Furthermore, the commission reported that cash assistance and support for returning to their original areas have been provided to hundreds of returning migrant families through the financial and transport committees.

This follows reports of approximately 4,000 Afghan migrants also returning to the country after being forcibly expelled from Pakistan on Friday.
