KABUL: The Ministry of Water and Energy said in a statement today that an initial survey and assessment for the construction of a 130 MW wind power generation system in Samangan province has been completed.
According to the statement, this significant project is set to be implemented in the Khulm district of Samangan.
The Ministry’s team visited the region and identified 1,162 acres of land in the areas of “Oljeto and Sartangi” for the project’s implementation.
The statement also mentioned that the team inspected wind research towers in Asiab, Oljeto, and Sartangi, collected quarterly data from a 50-meter tower in Sartangi, and replaced its faulty battery.
However, no specific information has been provided regarding the project’s start date or how it will be financed.
It is noteworthy that substantial investments have been made in generating energy from domestic resources over the past four years.
