Officials of Ministry of Public Health say 400 health centers built in past 4 years

KABUL: Officials of the Ministry of Public Health announced that 400 health service centers have been newly constructed in the country over the past four years.

According to Radio Omid’s correspondent, Mohammad Hassan Gheyasi, the Deputy for Policy and Health Development at the Ministry, during a ceremony commemorating World Health Day in Kabul said today that building these new health centers is to expand the availability of health services and provide citizens with easier access to these services.

He mentioned that the ministry offers health services with a focus on ensuring health equity, strengthening the health sector, and supporting the underprivileged segments of society.

This year, the Ministry of Public Health celebrated World Health Day with a special event in Kabul under the slogan ‘Healthy Generations, Healthy Futures, and Healthy Economies.’

The development of health services in remote and underserved areas, as well as the standardization of these services, remains a priority for the Ministry of Public Health.
